It’s been a buzzing few weeks here at the Beaulieu Community Centre, and the team has been hard at work curating a wonderful selection of events and activities for our vibrant local community. Whether you’re looking to learn something new, meet like-minded individuals, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat, we’ve got something for everyone.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Sophie Ede
We kicked off our new series of free coffee mornings with a truly inspiring guest—Sophie Ede, CEO of Hearing Help Essex. Sophie generously shared her personal journey with hearing loss, offering heartfelt insights and practical advice to those in attendance. We’re incredibly grateful to her for opening up and making our first event so meaningful.
Next Up: Freya Levy and Mater the Support Dog
We’re excited to welcome Freya Levy as our next guest speaker on 24th June. Diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at a young age, Freya has never let her condition define her. She’ll be talking about her remarkable journey through disability, her unwavering passion for sport, and her life-changing bond with her support dog, Mater. It promises to be another unforgettable morning. Spaces are limited, so please make sure to book your spot via our Eventbrite page – CGC Trust Events.
Creative Moments with Our Knit & Crochet Workshop
Our first Knit and Crochet Workshop on 7th July has proven incredibly popular—it’s already fully booked! A big thank you to our two wonderful volunteers who will be leading this hands-on, crafty session. If you missed out this time, don’t worry. We’re taking expressions of interest for future dates. Just drop us a line at enquiries@beaulieuhub.uk and we’ll let you know if additional sessions are scheduled. With their experience and passion, our volunteers are ready to guide everyone from complete beginners to seasoned stitchers.
Summer Fun for the Whole Family
As we approach the school holidays, it’s the perfect time to look ahead to summer fun. We’re thrilled to be hosting an Interactive Animal Experience with Animal Workshops Mobile Zoo on 4th August. This is a hands-on, family-friendly event where children can meet some fascinating creatures up close—including the ever-popular Blossom the Skunk and Simon the Snake! We’re running two sessions:
10:00am – a quieter, SEN session, and 11:30am – a general session open to all.
This promises to be a hit with animal lovers of all ages!
At Beaulieu Community Centre, we’re committed to bringing people together, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and have fun. Whether you’re joining us for coffee, crafts, or cuddles with exotic animals, we can’t wait to welcome you.
Stay in the loop by following our events on Eventbrite (CGC Trust Events) or reaching out via email (enquiries@beaulieuhub.uk). See you soon!
All our events are made possible thanks to the generous grant funding we’ve received from Chelmsford Garden Community Council – helping us bring quality, inclusive activities to Beaulieu residents.
Discover More on Our Website: Visit www.beaulieucommunitycentre.co.uk to see everything we offer – from toddler groups and fitness classes to workshops, events, and hall hire. There really is something for everyone!
As a modern and forward-thinking community centre, we’re always working to meet current standards. To enhance safety for all our visitors and hirers, we will soon be installing magnetic locks on all interior hall doors. Whether you’re attending a party or participating in a class, your safety is our priority.
Wishing everyone a safe and stress free month ahead!
