As we step into a brand-new year, we’d like to wish all our hirers, visitors and community members a very Happy New Year. We hope 2025 brings health, happiness and plenty of opportunities to connect, learn and enjoy everything our wonderful community has to offer.

We are excited to be reopening our doors with a busy and varied programme, and we’re delighted to be welcoming new regular hirers, alongside a fantastic line-up of events to start the year on a positive note.

Welcoming New Regular Hirers

From February, we are thrilled to welcome The Cosy Market, who will be joining us on the first Saturday of every month, starting Saturday 7th February. Their first theme, ‘A Celebration of Love’, promises a cosy and uplifting atmosphere, showcasing a wonderful range of local makers and small businesses.

We’re also pleased to introduce Essex Dog Training, launching their Essential Canine Lifeskills sessions on Friday mornings from 11.30am–12.30pm. These sessions are ideal for dog owners looking to build confidence, strengthen bonds and develop everyday skills with their dogs.

For our younger community members, Boxercise Champions will be starting Thursday and Friday afternoons, offering fun, energetic sessions for children aged 5–12 years. A great way to build fitness, confidence and coordination in a supportive environment.

Events to Start the Year

Our much-loved Stitch and Share returned on the 4th January. This monthly meet-up for knitters and crocheters offers a relaxed and friendly space to craft together. No experience is needed — beginners and seasoned crafters alike are very welcome. Please book your space in advance.  The next sessions will be held on the 1st February and the 1st March.

The Wilderness Foundation will be running a Nature and Eco-System workshop for children aged between 7 and 11 years on the 17th February from 14h00 – 17h00.  This interactive, hands-on session is for children to explore the wonders of the natural world.  Parents are required to be present.  Tickets are available on our Eventbrite page – CGCTrust Events.

Our FREE Coffee Mornings continue to be a much-loved community staple offering a warm, welcoming space to connect and chat over a cuppa. Ensure to book your ticket on our Eventbrite page – CGCTrust events.  On the 3rd Feb at 10h30, Studio 35 will be here to explore and discuss how strength training can make a real difference, no matter a person’s age or fitness level.

Supporting us:

Did you know that Beaulieu Community Centre is a registered charity and not council-funded? Everything that happens here — from children’s activities and wellbeing groups to free community events — is made possible through hall hire, fundraising, grants, and the generosity of volunteers giving their time. There’s no big pot of money behind the scenes, just a lot of heart, commitment and community support.

Every booking, every fundraiser and every volunteer hour helps us continue supporting our local community. We would like to extend a massive Thank you to Kimmie D for running a Zumba Fundraiser this month in order to help raise vital funds to assist us to continue to offer free and affordable community events..

With so many new activities, regular sessions and events launching this year, there really is something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new visitors alike throughout 2026.

Warm regards,
